https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Office/Communications/2019/Documents/20191204_JUULComplaint.pd
The Attorney General’s Office has hired two firms, Robins Kaplan LLP and Zimmerman Reed LLP, as outside counsel for this lawsuit. The Attorney General’s Office submitted this special-attorney appointment for the Legislative Advisory Commission for review and recommendation on October 21, 2019. Three members of the Commission made a recommendation in favor of the contract and three members made no recommendation. After the 20-day review period passed, the Attorney General’s Office proceeded with hiring the firms.
A copy of the complaint is available on Attorney General Ellison’s website. Also available on Attorney General Ellison’s website are slides showing similarities between JUUL and Big Tobacco advertising, and slides on e-cigarette use among youth excerpted from the October 2019 “Tobacco Use in Minnesota” survey by the Minnesota Department of Health.

On appeal from a revocation of his mobile food vehicle license, relator Jose Ponce argues: (1) the city acted arbitrarily and capriciously by basing its decision to revoke his license on an erroneous interpretation of city and state law; and (2) the city violated relator's due-process rights by revoking his license without providing sufficient notice of the grounds for revocation. One man, one vote - Wikipedia
In the United States, the "one person, one vote" principle was invoked in a series of cases by Warren Court in the 1960s.[5][6][7][8][a] Applying the Equal Protection Clause of the United States Constitution, the Supreme Courtmajority opinion (8-1) led by Chief Justice Earl Warren in Reynolds v. Sims(1964) ruled that state legislatures needed to redistrict in order to have congressional districts with roughly equal represented populations.[10][11] In addition, the court ruled that, unlike the United States Congress, both houses of state legislatures needed to have representation based on districts containing roughly equal populations, with redistricting as needed

While the Act did require that voting rules and procedures be applied equally to all races, it did not abolish the concept of voter "qualification". Voting Rights Act of 1965 - Wikipediainated most voting qualifications beyond citizenship.
The Act also contains "special provisions" that apply to only certain jurisdictions. A core special provision is the Section 5 preclearance requirement, which prohibits certain jurisdictions from implementing any change affecting voting without receiving preapproval from the U.S. Attorney General or the U.S. District Court for D.C. that the change does not discriminate against protected minorities.[10] Another special provision requires jurisdictions containing significant language minority populations to provide bilingual ballots and other election materials.

Who would pay large sums of money to influence Congress’s laws respecting the Bankruptcy Code (Art. I, §8, cl. 4); the patent and copyright office (Art. xx This morning, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit unanimously sided with IJ in a fight with the IRS over the agency’s forfeiture records. In its decision, the court ruled that the IRS cannot deliberately frustrate Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests by quibbling over immaterial technicalities. The court also ruled that the IRS must put the effort into determining which records are public, rather than just applying blanket exemptions (as government agencies love to do) to whole swaths of data that may or may not be exempt from disclosure.
